Recently, one of the adoptee organizations in Korea that has helped me tremendously over the years, sent an announcement that it had to shut its doors because it lost its funding from the Ministry of Health and Welfare (보건복지부). You can read the release here. (And just FYI, when G.O.A.’L sends its releases the news part comes at the end. Like the last paragraph–the opposite of how it works here.)
Help support G.O.A.’L.: Make a pledge via PayPal or wire transfer and note “G.O.A.’L Annual Pledge”. This is the only adoptee-run organization in Korea and it has helped me with birth family search, Korean language tutoring, and basic life support in Korea. It helps a lot of adoptees and now it needs your help. I just gave my donation – I hope you’ll make one too!
