Boston Korean Adoptees (BKA), is having a tag sale to raise money for its 2014 Anniversary Conference, and it currently needs donations (and volunteers).
Tag sale will be:
East Boston Social Center
68 Central Square in East Boston
19 October from 10am to 3pm
ANYthing and EVERYthing old and used will be accepted as donations EXCEPT baby strollers, cribs, and mattresses: clothing, jewelry, shoes, bags, purses, wallets, luggage, belts, household items including lamps, drinking glasses, mugs, blenders, plates, pots, pans, vases, artwork, furniture, bedding, toys, games, sports equipment, books, multimedia, yard equipment, car stuff, board games. Even if it’s useless to you, someone else will want it!
Let go of stuff, free yourself from clutter, and support BKA, all at the same time!
There are a few ways to donate your items.
1. Bring your items to the East Boston Social Center on the morning of the Tag Sale between 7-10am, or the night before on October 18th from 6-8 pm
2. Volunteers can pick up your donations and if items are ready by October 12th. Contact the Fundraising Committee at email@example.com with with a list of items to donate and your pick up address.
Fill out a donation form at www.bkadoptee.org/tagsale or visit the BKA14 Conference Tag Sale Facebook event page. All donations are tax deductible. Tell your friends and family about the BKA Tag Sale, people are always trying to get rid of stuff!
The organization also needs donations of food for the volunteers, poster board, paper, markers, tape, and cleaning supplies for our publicity and cleaning crew. We also need paper and plastic bags, as well as boxes for people to take items back home.
Volunteers are also needed to help with set up, sell, clean up, pick up items, and drop of left over items. In general, there will be shifts throughout the day. Even though the tag sale is 10-3 pm, set up is 7-10 am and clean up is 3-6 pm. Any help is appreciated. Contact Leona, the volunteer coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org. She will have more details about how to volunteer.
