This is scary because of circumstances were different this could have been my life. Who’s to say?
In this Gazillion Voices Radio conversation, Kevin Vollmers talks with Korean adoptee Adam Crapser. Adam has had a difficult life. He was adopted twice, and neither of his adoptive families took it upon themselves to finalized Adam’s naturalization. His first adoptive family rehomed Adam and his biological sister into the foster care system. His second set of adoptive parents ran a household that physically, emotionally, and sexually abused their children. Adam has served time as well, but he has already paid for his crimes. Nevertheless, Adam, who has children and a wife, is now at risk of being deported to Korea, a country whose language and culture are very foreign to him.
